United States, 2004
Cast: Dennis Hopper, Gina Gershon, Jordan Frieda, Dominique Swain
Director: Jevon O'Neill
My Rating: *1/2 / ****
This is a proof that to made a good movie, one need not only good script, but also good director to deliver the script. How unfortunate that such an above-average script as this one, with so-so casts, went awry and ever downhill because of its director's incapability.
The plot is rather complex, with several characters intertwining, but it's not that hard to guess where the plot meets. In fact, after i guessed where the plot would eventually meet, the movie seems like it went slower than the snail. Even with the running time of only 1 hr 40 minutes, it seems that the movie had taken a longer time than any. Well, maybe a question aroused, whether i, given the plot able to pull something stronger out of it? i say, in my head, yes. But as things are, it's always easier said than done.
Alas, i'm not in the mood to write more about it, so i shall leave at it.
